Guest Post: Now what?

Dear SGS,

I am out of room. Please advise me on what to do with my new order of silver. I have another 2000 ounces coming.

Thanks,

J. XXXXXXXX

  1. That safe is crap.

Go buy a real safe, at least 2000# preferably 3000#. You can learn about ratings on the web. Best is 6-sided 30 minute rating.

Get one used. Have it professionally moved to your house or work. Put it on a cement slab. Then have a locksmith re-key it.

    AND

You can diversify offshore. This is good to avoid confiscation. Look into Bullionvault, perth Mint. Also the August issue of Sovereign Man Confidenatial (by Simon Black) goes into immense detail.

Spread out your assets into more than one basket, keep your mouth closed. Good PM collecting.

  8. Very poor opsec...(google it)

Might as well walk around with a target on your back...actually that would probably be safer...

  9. I will chime in on the safe issue without a smart ass answer. First, I have a floor safe that holds about 4 monster boxes, all of my important papers and a Glock 19 with a full clip and 1 in the pipe just incase. The balance of my silver holdings are scattered around my house in cold air returns, wall cavities and the like. My gold is sealed in a series of 4" PVC pipes and buried under pavers on the outside of my house. In the unlikely event that my safe is discovered I will only lose a fraction of my holdings and be really pissed off that one of my handguns is gone. As for the hidden and buried treasure I wish them luck, I even have a hard time remembering where it all is.

  11. i envision a very small time window where I plan to liquidate most PHYZZ for real estate in remote locations. Preferrably farmland. Don't know if this will actually pan out, but that is my plan.

  12. Maybe someone can explain this to me: JPM=$35.33
SIU11=$40.605. Isn't the theory that when silver is above JPM, that they are bleeding money? How much fiat does these m.f's have? Is the Fed that dumb? Or the Treasury? Is it the derivative timebomb or what??

  13. @Whiskey Six: nothing wrong with a dream. Hope it comes true for you.

  14. @ingots

I just bought a Glock 19 Gen 4 about two weeks ago, $435 NIB from a local dealer who gives a discount to LE/mil. Also have a Sig. 238 for carry...a Texan's God given right!

    lol

  15. @Whiskey Six - with a small time window (how small?), how are you planning on liquidating? What are your thoughts on taxes?

  16. ledbedder; it appears that wynter benton group is back indicating the are reloaded and ready to battle. They have indicated that JPM is at risk to it's derivative position if the price of silver stays over $36 for 60 consectutive days. If JPM drives the price under $36, they are ready to bust the comex. Info can be found on the JPM yahoo board as was their previous announcements.

  17. Same plan as Whiskey, but looking to add a bunch single family homes to rent to create a good income stream. Prices will probably bottom at around the median home price range of 1986...about $68,000 on a national level.

  18. The manipulation is going to be really obvious with gold climbing north of $1800 and silver falling below $36. I don't think they are big enough to fully control the gold market. It does feel good to set back and watch the fireworks. Much better feeling than back in 2008, before I woke up. I guess the good thing is I have been collecting firearms long before PMs. Lead, the most precious of the metals!

  19. Ingots Master, I think that hiding your stash in hidden cavities and air ducts is a fantastic idea. As far as a safe goes, my opinion is if someone held a gun to my head and said open the safe, it would be opened, I would only use a safe as a decoy.

  20. @Carbon Days to weeks. A mix of ituition and dumb luck will indicate timing. Whatever the parabolic top is. I would prefer to do a straight trade...believe this is possible in a scenario of virtually no gold/silver availability due to the fractional reserve precious metals model. A trust and/or nonprofit entity will actually own the assets.
