Saw this at the trade show, there is a petition going on. Right.

  1. Damn, I'm not sure how much more I can take! Too much time reading on the web and I'm gonna need a shrink! I'm going insane trying to process all this garbage. I need some more happy blog posts....you know like the tidy hard on, or an interview with the bimbos from RT or something!

  2. I am glad SGS posted this, but Alex Jones www.infowars.com brought this up over a year ago.

  3. relax. the data these things provide are a fraction that big brother gets from your mobile phone. the smart meters are more about figuring out supply and demand...and also letting you know how much your costs are at any given moment.
So the meter knows when your home...no it doesn't it known when electricity is used not who the fucker using it is.
your growing pot...why the fuck are you paying an electricity bill then, the large consumption of electricity will show up and be flagged using either system. your a brainless dick if you haven't bypassed the meter and deserve to do bird.
In the UK they are starting to install similar meters but these go a step further and are going to be linked up with tradable energy quotas (TEQs)....everybody will be given a quota of energy, for which they will pay the going rate ....use more than your quota and you have to go to the market to buy more TEQs for the privelage....seems pretty egalitarian and perhaps the best way to get people to pay attention to the energy they use...
obviously somebody is rather worried about future energy supply and this can be used for rationing when everything goes tits up.

  5. Sorry folks, but SIU11 will go back to at least 33.705 before the next take off. No reason to BTFD until then.

  9. This good news.
The more they try to gather information the more information that will need some person to look at it. Computers can only do so much.
They will eventually have so much information that the whole surveillance scam will die under it's own weight and stupidity.

The guy in the video talks about a murderer being caught by the system. You could just as easily use the smart meter to give you an alibi.
There is always someone in the "land of video" trying to ratchet up the fear and paranoia.

  10. These meters also prevent "running the (analog) meter backwards" and selling your homegrown solar electricity back to the power company.

  11. What's to stop some bimbo at your local hydro office from getting data and using it to his advantage to pick up so phyzz on the cheap when folks are on vacation. Your right the data is limited but useful if put in the right hands! I've learned not to trust anyone b/c I've been broken into twice.

  12. Silver takedown occurring as I write this. SGS, I can't believe this shit just goes on and on. This is completely insane. Someone please tell me how we will ever win if they can just collapse the price whenever the hell they feel like it.

  13. @ piratesasha: The electric co. changed us over to a smart meter a year ago, and now we're getting solar in a couple of weeks. The solar company pulls the smart meter and replaces it with an analog. Just another good reason to get solar.

  14. Silver take down is a "Look What I Can Do" moment. They are there and they are watching and they control until The Pan China Gold Exchange takes over. They will not let PM move up period. They will continue to short even if Washington was nuked. But in fairness the Markets are Tanking!

The Markets have collapsed over the jobs numbers - I see reference to jobs numbers but cant find them anywhere!

  15. Oops, nope, I'm wrong. The electric co. guy was just here and changed out the meter for a smart solar meter. A digital one. It took all of 30 seconds. He said it will run backwards though. It has 3 watts of transmitting power as opposed to the one watt in the video. Well, until we can get completely off the grid, this will have to do.

  16. The Purpose of Smart Meters are to enable "variable rate pricing". That means they charge you more for heating when its cold outside and will charge you more for A/C when its hot outside. They'll do this with the government's permission and tell you it to help you go "green". Its an important part of Cap-N-Trade. You see, the government knows what's good for you, even if you don't. So they'll force you to conserve to lower your "carbon emissions" and the electric company will get more revenue.

  18. @Bongo Jim and missiondweller:

Thanks for information. Solar panels very expensive mostly because hand-assembled. Yes we can outthink 'em.

Back to topic: Fascinating to watch price drop every single day about 2 hrs after NY exchange opens. New China kid on the block could disrupt that pattern.

  19. Bongo Jim: That's awesome! Is that in the US?
