  1. It's about time they started investigating.

    I just hope the investigation doesn't get shelved.

  3. SGS - did Tinka just strike a mother load or something? caught a big bid.

    The biggest regret i have all year was WAKING UP the day that everyone thought it would be cool to DUMP THEIR SHARES of everything for half of what they bought them for. Stopped me out of most of my positions i didnt want to lose. A majority stake in TINKA being one of them.

    FU stupid clowns for selling your shares like sheep and taking me down with you *shakes fist at the sky*

    TOP WORLD COPPER MINERS PRODUCTION DECLINES 8% in Q1 2011

    This is indeed big news. About 70-71% of silver production comes from by-product mining. Of that 70%, and according to the World Silver Survey in 2009, 23% of the by-product total comes from copper mining.

    Quoting the article:

    After rising for three straight quarters, production from the 11 biggest publicly listed miners fell by 8 percent in the first three months of 2011, due to declining ore grades and adverse weather conditions, data from companies showed last month.

    This has been on ongoing problem in the mining industry, especially in Copper, Gold and Silver. Zinc and lead are found at much higher ore grades. In Australia, these are the present ore grades of the following metals:

    GOLD = 1.94 g/t (gram per ton)
    SILVER = 98.4 g/t
    COPPER = 0.95 g/t
    LEAD = 3.5%
    ZINC = 7.7%
    ------------------------------

    In base metal mining, lead and zinc are more readily available than copper. Silver by-product mining from lead and zinc is about 37% of that total. Here are the overall by-product percentages:

    Primary = 28%
    Gold = 11%
    Lead/Zinc = 38%
    Copper = 27%
    other = 1%
    -------------------------------

    Again...falling ore grades are going to be a problem going forward for the mining industry. With this decline of 8% of the biggest Copper Miners in the world of copper, I would imagine it will also show a reduction in silver production as well.

    TIME to be in PHYSICAL SILVER

  8. CORRECTION

    COPPER = 0.95% ore grade not gram per ton

  9. Where is Blyght's Mom? When I hear the word Blythe and probe all I can think of is Katy Perry's song E.T. where Kayne West says, "I'mma disrobe you, then I'mma probe you?

    Looking forward to Blyght's Mom chiming in here.
