A pre market chart that has 1000 stories. But really its just one BIG story. Share with me today your story, and the elation you felt the first time you held a shiny little piece of silver in your hand, and what it meant for you.
Raid to commence.
Thar she blows ! 35 here we come.
ReplyDeleteThe first time I held a piece of silver I was pregnant with my little Blight. It made me feel happy. It was so pretty and I was surprised how heavy it was. Just then my little unborn fetus punched her demon claw through the womb she was within and out of my stomach. She grabbed the piece of silver and pulled it back into the confines of my tummy. I passed out. I was rushed to the hospital and they delivered my little Blight by C-section. I never saw my first piece of silver again.
ReplyDeleteSilver's up, my miners are up. It's easier to love Blythe today. That and cause she'll have to start buying SLV.
ReplyDeleteJust imagine how silver will rocket when SLV holders realize they're buying silver on behalf of Authorized particpant, COMEX shorting banks.
I am not sure which felt better, when I held my first 10 oz. bar, or when I held my Wilson Combat .45 for the first time. Either way, they both sent a shiver of freedom up my spine.
ReplyDeleteI remember back in 92 when I was buying silver eagles for 5.00!
ReplyDeleteSilver @ $5 those were the days. While all around me was buying Flat screen TV's and play things I was sitting back quietly adding to my positions. Today they are all flat broke, now I sit back with a nice cigar and snicker.
ReplyDeleteFU Bitches.
Just became capable of expending some liquid assets. Am I too late to the ball? I always read buy on the dips, I can not see any dips coming. I want to buy 100-500 ASE's. Does the saying "you can't time the market" apply here? Just buy or wait for a dip? Thx for the newbie help.
ReplyDeleteFifty years ago, when I was 4, my Nana sewed me this clown costume that I wore to march in the local parade. I looked cute and won a silver dollar. The coin was beautiful to look at and felt substantial in my hand. About that time, my parents opened for me an account at our parish Credit Union and encouraged me to deposit the coin into my account. Not too long afterwards, although seeing my balance increase to over three dollars was a thrill, I got to Jonesing for the silver dollar. I made my folks take me to the Credit Union to get it back so I could keep it at home. However, when I got to the front of the line at the counter and got my withdrawal, they gave me a paper dollar. I was shocked. I started telling them, “This is not my dollar. Mine is a silver dollar” and I refused to back away. So the teller calls the bank manager who takes me into her office. She proceeded, in a fairly condensing way, to explain to me how a bank works. I just sat there silent and took it and told her I understood. But I was thinking the 4-year-old equivalent of fuck you bitch. That day I accepted the fact that the bank beat me and I swore it would never happen again.
ReplyDeleteMy first large order of 90% came in canvas bag. the family gathered around we passed around the bag to feel the heft. I felt like a 18th century pirate. Raided the dealer and gave them some paper as I stole their silver. The kids couldn't stop laughing. finally, our first feel of real wealth.
ReplyDeleteMy first silver came in the mid 80's via inheritance after my Grandfather's passing- maybe 50 ounces of mostly pre-64 coins. I was a teenager, and luckily the price of silver was low, and I did not even have a clue how to sell it (there were very few local coin shops around)- so, not even thinking it was worth the effort to liquidate, I stashed it away in a closet.
ReplyDeleteFast forward to 2006 when I began buying Silver and Gold as a logical investment alternative to real estate prices that I knew could not be sustained, and oil prices that had no easy market-entry vehicle. The ETF's were just starting to ramp up and since I didn't understand how they worked I refused to place all my investment capital there, so I bought a little bit of oil ETF exposure (2008 made me wish I had bought more) and I bought Bullion...
And I broke out those old coins of my grandpa's and discovered a couple Carson City Morgans were in the mix -
Every day I wake up thankful that I was too lazy to learn how to sell them 25 years ago.
the light came on in december..i was lost..knew things weren't right...than it hit me.....told my wife i was liquidating our ira s and going physical..she trust me and never said a word, although she was nervous.....when the first of many deliveries hit, i immediatetly felt like all the pressure of the world was off...i now sleep like a baby....with many ounces under my pillow..
