REGISTERED = 27,715,558 ELIGIBLE = 70,975,275 COMEX TOTAL = 98,690883
Remember, Registered is the dealer catagory and Eligible is the customer. It is only the registered amount which is a pathetic 27.7 million ounces that is available for delivery.
As of last weeks COT REPORT the Commericals shorts held 71,785 contracts. Each contract is for 5,000 ounces. When we do the math we find the following:
71,785 X 5,000 = 359,925,000 ounces
If we divide the amount of silver in the registered catagory by the total amount the shorts hold above, this is what we get:
27,715,558 / 359,925,000 = 7.7%
What do you think about that. The commercials only have enough silver to cover 7.7% of their shorts. Is this really NAKED SHORTING???
Now I realize that there is plenty of speculation that the Chinese or other parties are the big shorts. They supposedly have the silver to back up these shorts. Funny....I don't know about the rest of you, but I haven't seen much silver coming into the Registered Catagory over the past 6-12 months. Quite the opposite....really.
Like they say.....Where there's smoke, there's fire.
Thanks for the kind comments, I was trying to portray what happens when socialism breaks into society. You let one little thing pass like its no big deal, then they just keep adding bit by bit. Then you are done
I do have a question - why are you making a big deal out of this? I've seen much larger numbers get moved like this before on COMEX. I suppose you don't remember?
Move along, folks. There's nothing to see here UNTIL YOU HEAR IN THE NEWS THAT NOT A SINGLE OUNCE OF GOLD/SILVER CAN BE BOUGHT IN ALL 6,000 COIN SHOPS. Move long, please...
