If silver is a bubble and there is ample supply, why did the VBCE just limit maples?

Fresh in from the Vancouver Bullion & Currency Exchange, they are now limiting 1 oz Canadian Silver Maples to 100 coins per order. Rosie, you want to re-look at your data on that silver bear call?

GOT PYHZZ?

  2. WTF is going on with PM stocks! Silver is up 4% and SLW is up less than 1%. How does that make any sense??? Not to mention on the most recent earnings SLW blew the numbers out of the park. I am getting so frustrated with the miners. There has to be something else at play here.

  4. SGS,

Bought PYHZZ yesterday in S. Cali, guy at the coin shop claims he has no problems keeping anything in stock. Seems kinda odd, but he does have the best prices when I compare him to all the online dealers. (the same dealers that as often as not are not selling ASEs or Maples)

Just curious on your thoughts on this.

  5. I want to buy 20 oz of phyzz. However I'm undecided on which coin to get, I want to stay away from the US eagles because it may beconfiscated at a later time.
Australia koala, Canada Maple or Austria ? Which one would have a higher resale value or a faster valuation? thanks

  6. SGS, went with 10 call on SLW for .49. Good call. have you looked at SVM. Silvercorp. ADX green at 10 and pincher forming big time. Same of UXG US gold. (I own neither pending your call)

    Thx Master

  9. @Fernando:
For koala you'll most likely pay higher premium as they're minted with different design each year. I'd stay away from them. Maple might have slightly higher premium too due to .9999 silver standard. Philharmonic is the cheapest (from what I've seen). If your dealer offers them in same prices, I'd go with Perth/RCM product. If not, flip a coin between maple and philharmonic.

  11. Fernando: I am not an expert, but I make always a mixture of Kookas, Philis, Maples, Koalas. The price here does not differ very much and to the best of my knowledge, I would rate all of them same value. At the end of the day it will be the amount of silver those coins wear. The collector's premium won't do much if you ask me. So I always go for the cheapest of those said before.

  12. Only 100. So you cannot even order a monster box. Pathetic.

  13. @PaidInGold

    Long Beach - Liberty Coin

about the same, But i have so far only bought bars, generic. a 10oz cost me $361 yesterday.

I purchased ASE's and Silver Maples

    I bought after NY close @ $33.90

    ASE - $39.20
    Canadian - $38.50

I checked kitco, blanchard & APMEX, but they were all within cents (if they had stock) and I prefer cash purchases.

Inglewood is a bit far unless they had a much better price

  14. yes you have to buy more than $1500 worth unless you want to get slapped with 10% tax. i always buddy up with friends if i cant spend $1500 at the time.

  15. This is supposedly a leaked conference call from the biggest silver gurus on the planet. I found this on Bix Weir's site:
